E-INVOICE: QUICKSTART and COMPLIANCE for MALAYSIAN BUSINESSES
As Malaysia advances its digital economy, the government is spearheading the implementation of e-Invoice to bolster the efficiency of the nation’s tax administration. This move aligns closely with the objectives set forth in the Twelfth Malaysia Plan, which prioritizes the enhancement of digital infrastructure and the modernization of tax processes. E-Invoicing, slated for mandatory adoption by all taxpayers by July 2025, promises to revolutionize transaction validation and storage capabilities, facilitating Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Consumer (B2C), and Business-to-Government (B2G) transactions in near real-time.
Commencing from 1st August 2024, the initial phase of implementation mandates businesses with an annual sales threshold of RM100 million to comply.
This course is designed to acquaint participants with the forthcoming e-Invoicing system in Malaysia, enabling them to prepare for its operational impact and ensure legal compliance. It will address common questions and concerns surrounding e-Invoice, providing clear explanations and practical solutions to anticipated challenges.
